A Day to Be Thankful For Sure

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family in Idaho. I failed to take many pictures, but we surly had loads of fun, loads of food, and loads of shopping with family!

Halloween Hoopla

This year's Halloween hoopla proved to be much fun for my vampire, butterfly and ladybug, alike!

We started with a party on October 21st for BOP staff and family. The kids enjoyed eating cupcakes and mummy hot dogs, painting pumpkins and participating in a costume contest. Cayben won a $5 gift card to Yogurt Creations for being the scariest! Yay! Those dirty looks he's been fine-tuning since infancy really paid off.

A few days later, on the 24th we had our second annual dinner in a pumpkin. It was delicious and festive!

On October 26th, we went to Manzanita's Harvest Ball. We ate Pizza, popcorn, tried to win a cake and danced. After that party we went to our friend, Grayson's 1st birthday party. I didn't take any pictures that night, but Solee debuted this super cute candy corn hat made by a friend.

On Saturday, October 27th our church threw a rockin' party. The evening started with carnival-style booths.

After the games we enjoyed a tri-tip dinner.

After dinner we went trunk-or-treating around the parking lot.

After the trunk-or-treat we went back inside for pies and dancing.

This week was Halloween week. I tried to make something festive for dinner each night. I only took pictures of the turkey burgers, but the kids and I also made Frankenstein pudding cups, eyes and spiders in blood sauce with bat toenails on top, and candy corn milk shakes. Cayben especially had fun with this.

In addition to being Halloween week, it is also a great week to "Say Boo to Drugs." Tuesday was Dress in Red Day as part of Manzanita's anti-drug week.

On Halloween Cayben dressed in costume for school. In the morning they did a costume parade and in the afternoon the whole school had a STAR Dancing celebration to celebrate reaching their goals on the STAR Test. Embrie, Solee and I joined him for the dance party. Cayben's school is a lot of fun!

The girls and I spent Halloween morning at a friend's birthday party.

In the evening we went trick-or-treating on base. The kids got loads of candy!

Life is full of fun times!
