My husband rocks! Although he doesn't love Disneyland so much, he loves my guts, so for my birthday he took us to Disneyland.
We drove to So. Cal. on Thursday, the 13th. As we turned out of our neighborhood, we noticed cars lined all along the side of the street. Assuming everyone was pulled over to view a launch, we pulled over and asked someone what was going on. The rocket was scheduled to launch in just a couple minutes. Yay! We finally got to watch our first launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base. It was awesome and a great start to our trip.
The next morning we walked over to Disney. We decided to spend our day at California Adventure this time. We did our thing at the park for a few hours and then felt like we needed a break. We were cooking. It was a whopping 108 degrees. It made for grumpy children and irritable parents.

We spent the afternoon watching T.V. in the air-conditioned room and swimming. In the evening we headed back to watch World of Color, which was cool.

On Saturday we took Shay to the temple, and the kids and I took refuge in a very air-conditioned Target. We drove home and felt grateful for Lompoc's ocean breeze and cool temperature.
