Here is a copy of the letter for your reading pleasure!
Merry Christmas, Friends and Family! Another year has come and gone so quickly like they do. We hope 2013 has treated you well. We’ve had more than our fair share of blessings.
The biggest change for our family this year is we have relocated from California to Reno, Nevada. Shay was able to transfer to the nearby prison in Herlong, CA. (Just to clarify, Shay is not in the prison but is employed by the prison!) He is now stationed at the closest Federal prison to our hometown! It’s still a long nine-hour drive, but we’re happy to be much closer to Pocatello.
Our son Cayben is six. He enjoys all things related to animals, especially reptiles. He could watch informational Youtube clips on leopard geckos all day long. He also is in karate, likes to ride his bike, and claims to love school.
Embrie is our four-year-old fashionista. She loves clothing, shoes, hair accessories, nail polish, jewelry and pretty much everything else girlie. She has a sweet tooth like none other, well except maybe her mom. She also enjoys doing ballet, and is a self-proclaimed master of “teenage talk,” which includes things like saying, “Really Mom?” while rolling her eyes.
Solee is our sweet, and maybe a little sassy, baby girl. She’s almost 18-months-old. She enjoys being in Mommy’s arms. In her down time she likes to pull the entire contents of the cupboards and drawers out, and she likes to play with whatever her siblings are playing with.
Shay and I like to spend our free time in the outdoors (though it comes in very short supply these days). We love living near beautiful Lake Tahoe (it’s the only way we could leave the ocean) and look forward to enjoying the snow this winter.
Shay continues to serve in the U.S. Public Health Service as a Lieutenant Junior Grade Officer. In his spare time he likes to lay on the floor, stare at the ceiling and imagine what it would be like to not have to go to work everyday. Perhaps now that we’re in Reno he can win his retirement. ;)
I enjoy teaching our kids at home, blogging, planning my next party, and staring into space while chewing my fingernails.
We, as a family, are happy to be enjoying the life we’ve been blessed with. We’re grateful for you and the role you play in our lives. We wish you the greatest of blessings. Merry Christmas!
Love,
The Bullocks
